The Site: This is a biography about Mike Shinoda. The website lists his full name, what he's famous as, his birth date, his age, etc. It has info about his early life in high school, and how he started up Linkin Park with everyone else. Before Linkin Park, Shinoda and his friends from school started a band called Xero.

The Bias: This website is copyrighted by Famous People. There is minimal ads, with working sidebars and pages. Overall this site actually interests me, it has a lot of useful information about Mike Shinoda. It also has links to the Famous People Facebook account, Twitter account, and Reddit account.

What I can use: The information about Mike Shinoda in this website helps me find out how old he is, who he really is, and where he was born. It has his Childhood & Early Life, Career, Major Works, Awards & Achievements, and his Personal Life & Legacy.

  • He attended Agoura High School, along with his future Linkin Park bandmates—Brad Delson and Rob Bourdon. After finishing high school, Shinoda went to the Art Center College of Design in the pursuit of studying graphic design and illustration.
  • After graduation, Shinoda got a job as a graphic designer while working on his band —‘Xero’. The band was in need of a singer therefore Jeff Blue was called from Arizona and the band was renamed—‘Linkin Park’.

The Site: This website has a mini bio describing Mike Shinoda's life and how he started in his early bands. It also lists the band members in order from who joined when. Chester was actually the last person to join the band.

The Bias: The website is a .com, and has 20+ ads. Although having many ads, it has really useful information about Mike and his life. IMDb has a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram account.

What I can use: Even though this website has good information about Mike Shinoda, the information is just repeated for me. I've already seen this information on more and better websites.

The Site: This website has useful information about Mike being the co-vocalists in Linkin Park, with Chester and his emotional wall. It shows all of the dates that important events in his life happened and why he did them.

The Bias: The website has over 19 ads, which means that these people might be wanting money, they also have a remove ads option which costs money. The website was updated recently and has very recent information about Linkin Park, mainly the death of Chester Bennington. They also have a Twitter and Facebook account.

What I can use:

As co-vocalist of rap-metal outfit Linkin Park -- owning the rapping skills to balance out Chester Bennington's tortured, emotional wail -- Mike Shinoda became one of the more recognizable faces of the nu metal scene in the early 2000s.

The Site: This website has minimal information about Mike, but it does have that he is married and that Linkin Park actually had two other members before Chester Bennington, bassist Dave Farrell and vocalist Mark Wakefield.

The Bias: This is a good and frequently updated website with minimal ads, just not a lot of information. They do not have a phone # or mailing address, but they do have links to their Facebook, Google, and Twitter accounts.

What I can use: Although this biography is short, there is still a small bit of useful information that I am able to use.

They eventually brought in turntablist Joe Hahn, bassist Dave Farrell, and vocalist Mark Wakefield. After Farrell and Wakefield left they signed Chester Bennington.

The Site: This website has a paragraph that talks about his high-school sweetheart Anna Hillinger, when they married, and what she does for a living. This website also had a very nice timeline, although being a nice timeline, it stops at 2009, so it's not very updated.

The Bias: The website has been recently updated, making me wonder why the timeline is still not updated, but whatever. This is actually the first website that I've encountered that has an email in which people can contact them at.

What I can use: The information about Anna Shinoda could help me with some of my research work.

He married to his longtime girlfriend Anna Hillinger on May 10, 2003. She is an author. She writes Kids book. She has her own site annashinoda.com for her writing skills. They have two children together. He is very happy of getting such a lovely wife and they are still together.

The Site: This website only has one sentence, and it is about the death of Chester Bennington.

The Bias: I chose this website, not because I thought it would be basic, or easy to write on, but because this is the only website I've found that mentions the tribute gig that Linkin Park is doing on the death of Chester Bennington.

What I can use: There's not much I can use, except for them throwing this gig dedicated to Chester.

The Site: A part of this website deals with the likes that Mike Shinoda has, and how he is seconds in likes, right behind Eminem. There is very descriptional lines in the paragraph describing the vocal lines of Chester and Mike. It says that Chester's voice strikes in broad strokes of a sword, and for Mike says, "Each line punctures and prods, a flurry of groove in between all the chaos."

The Bias: This website was last updated on Sep 20, 2015, so it isn't recently updated. There is so many paragraph's that explain a lot of Mike's Life, so this would probably be my favorite website in my list.

What I can use: I can actually use this very well described imagery about Chester and Mike.

If Facebook likes mean the world to you, then Mike Shinoda is the second biggest rapper in the world, behind only Eminem, thanks to Linkin Park’s 63 million likes. In the world of Linkin Park, lead singer Chester Bennington’s voice strikes in broad strokes of a sword, slashing violently with his voice at any that can hear. Shinoda’s bars are the shank in the equation. Each line punctures and prods, a flurry of groove in between all the chaos.

The Site: This website talks about Mike Shinoda's likes and opinions. He likes the Walking Dead and Pokemon. His favorite pizza is Ham and Pineapple, and his favorite type of Sandwich is tuna, or beef dip.

The Bias: I like how this website deals with Mikes personality, and what he likes. This website is really interesting to me. This website was updated recently, they have a Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube account. They even have a mailing address and website: 1271 Avenue of the Americas 44th Floor New York, NY 10020, Radio.com.

What I can use:

1. Shinoda has strong opinions about “The Walking Dead”

After a fan asked him what he would do in the event of a zombie apocalypse, he offered some opinions about the hit show. “Why isn’t everyone mad that the people from ‘The Walking Dead’ never just find an island? Is that already a thing?” he said. “The zombie’s can’t even get over a fence, they definitely can’t swim well. So get a f***ing boat and get out on an island already.”

2. He knows people like to say his name to the tune of “My Sharona”
Yes, he knows. Yes, it is funny. And so when a fan asked him if he was aware that people like to do this, he responded with a simple link to this YouTube video.

3. The collaboration with Jay Z for Collision Course wasn’t Linkin Park’s idea at all.
When a fan asked how the partnership came about, Shinoda responded, “Jay Z and MTV came to us asking ‘if we’d jam together.'”

4. He has met a couple people from the “Kardashian clan” and found them to be lovely.
He said he doesn’t watch TV (which is an obvious lie, because see #1), and says he doesn’t know anything about the Kardashians, but met Brody Jenner and Kim once. He said he didn’t have anything to talk about with them, but said that they were nice.

5. His favorite pizza flavor is kind of boring, unless he’s in Colorado.
“Funny, my favorite pizza toppings are ham and pineapple” he said to a fan, “unless I’m in Colorado, in which case my favorite pizza topping is more oxygen.”

6. He loves Pokemon and he has a favorite one.
Shinoda admitted he likes Pokemon in the first question of the AMA, and later on, another fan chimed in to ask him which his favorite one was. “Charizard EX is arguably the most powerful Pokemon,” he decided.

7. He got metaphysical after someone asked him about his favorite sandwich.
“Tuna or beef dip. Unless I’m making it, then I usually do a ham on bagel,” he responded. Then things got philosophical. “I just realized how nonsensical that sandwich decision making is. Like, I should just make tuna or beef dip,” he added. But I don’t. Someone fix me.”

8. He writes songs anywhere and everywhere.
A fan mentioned knowing that Linkin Park doesn’t jam when creating a new album, so he or she went on to ask how Shinoda finds inspiration. Shinoda’s response showed how open-minded he is when thinking about creating new music.
“I’m constantly writing—on my phone, laptop, in my studio. From hundreds of demos, a handful of songs stand out, and we flesh those out. They can start from anything—Lost In The Echo began with an iPhone recording of a children’s cat keyboard toy, which I put in iMaschine (an iPhone sampler app), then took to the studio. I might even sing something today, into my phone in the car, that becomes something.”

9. Shinoda once autographed a small human.
One fan asked Shinoda what the weirdest hing he ever signed was. “The answer is: a real live baby.”

The Site: This is the same as the first biography that I posted, although not being the same website, it has pretty much all of the same information.

The Bias: This website was not recently updated. It is a very nice looking website with working links and sidebars.

What I can use: I cannot use anything from this.
